STEMZA

Mesenchymal Stem Cells

Mesenchymal stem cells isolated, expanded and tested for potency, documented from the first passage.

Mesenchymal Stem Cells
Overview

What STEMZA is for.

Mesenchymal stem cells are among the most studied cells in regenerative medicine. Much of their value is in what they secrete and how they modulate their surroundings, not only in the cells themselves.

STEMZA covers the working parts of an MSC programme: a consistent, high-yield isolation, culture that keeps cells healthy and phenotypically stable, and proof of potency before a lot is used.

Much of an MSC's therapeutic interest lies in its secretions, which is why potency is measured by function.

Capabilities

Core capabilities.

High-yield MSC isolation

Protocols tuned for yield and consistency, with donor and tissue information recorded.

Specialised culture systems

Media, surfaces and feeding strategies that preserve phenotype across passages, with contamination control built in.

Potency validation

Functional assays that test what the cells do, backed by phenotype, viability and stability checks.

Stages

How a programme runs.

Isolate

Obtain and qualify cells from the chosen source.

Expand

Culture under controlled, documented conditions.

Characterise

Phenotype, sterility and stability.

Validate

Functional potency against defined criteria.

Typical applications

  • MSC supply and conditioned media
  • Cell banking and process development
  • Potency assay development
  • Source cells for exosome production

Questions

About STEMZA.

How do you choose a potency assay?

By intended use. We agree the functional readout with the client before the first lot is made.

Is clinical-grade supply available?

Not yet. It depends on GMP facility qualification, which is in development.

Deliverables

Fit

Is STEMZA the right platform?

A good fit

  • You need well-characterised MSCs or conditioned medium for research
  • You want potency, not just viability, to guide decisions
  • You plan to make vesicles from the cells you grow

Not the right fit

  • You need clinical-grade cells today
  • You want a finished cell therapy
  • You need a different cell type from the ones we work with
Consistency

Keeping cells the same from lot to lot.

Cells change with donor, tissue source and passage number. We record each of those, set limits on passage, and test against the same panel every time.

When a lot drifts, the record shows where and when, which is the first step to fixing it.

Questions

More about STEMZA.

Do you supply conditioned medium?

Yes, as a research material, with the culture conditions recorded.

Which tissue sources do you use?

Source is specified per project, and donor and tissue information is recorded for every lot.

Where it fits

Where STEMZA sits in a programme.

STEMZA is usually the starting point. It supplies characterised cells and conditioned medium, which HNEV then turns into purified vesicles, and which HNOVA can carry into formulations.

Because the cells are measured for potency, downstream teams know what they are building on.
