HNEV

Exosome Therapeutics

Purify extracellular vesicles, prove what they are, and load them with cargo that reaches the right cell.

Exosome Therapeutics
Overview

What HNEV is for.

Exosomes are nanoscale vesicles that cells use to pass proteins, lipids and nucleic acids to one another. That makes them attractive as a delivery vehicle and as a therapeutic in their own right.

The difficulty is rarely making vesicles. It is making them the same way twice. HNEV is organised around that problem, from source cell or plant material through isolation, characterisation and loading.

Capabilities

Core capabilities.

High-purity isolation

Orthogonal isolation steps separate vesicles from soluble protein, lipoprotein and debris, so each lot can be compared with the last.

Targeted cargo loading

Small molecules, nucleic acids and proteins loaded into or onto vesicles, with integrity checked after loading, not only before.

Enhanced bioavailability

Encapsulation within a biological membrane can protect cargo and change how it distributes. We design studies that test that for each cargo and route.

Stages

How a programme runs.

Source

Define the cell line, tissue or plant source and its controls.

Isolate

Concentrate and purify under documented conditions.

Characterise

Confirm identity and purity against the agreed panel.

Load

Add cargo, then confirm integrity, dose and stability.

Typical applications

  • Research-grade exosome supply
  • Cargo-loaded vesicles for delivery studies
  • Vesicle-based actives for regenerative and skin biology
  • Reference material for assay development

Questions

About HNEV.

Can we use our own cell line?

Yes, where it is supplied under a material transfer agreement. We document its handling like any other source.

Are the exosomes approved for human use?

No. Supply is for research use. Any therapeutic route needs its own regulatory pathway, which we help you plan for.

Deliverables

What you receive from an HNEV project.

DeliverableWhat it contains
Isolation recordSource, method and conditions for your lot
Characterisation dataSize, concentration, markers and purity
Loading reportCargo, loading method and what happened to vesicle integrity
Stability notesHow the preparation behaves in storage
Method summaryEnough detail for another laboratory to reproduce the work
Fit

Is HNEV the right platform?

A good fit

  • You need vesicles from mesenchymal or plant sources
  • You want to load a defined cargo and measure what happens
  • You value reproducible lots over a single impressive result

Not the right fit

  • You need clinical-grade material today
  • You want a ready-made therapeutic with no development
  • You need a diagnostic or a cell therapy rather than a vesicle
Reproducibility

How we keep vesicle work comparable.

Every lot is described by its source and its method, and measured against the same panel. When a method changes, we say so and re-measure.

That discipline is what lets a result from March be compared with a result from October.

Questions

More about HNEV.

How long does an HNEV project take?

It depends on source, scale and cargo. Scoping gives a plan with milestones before work begins.

Do you share the isolation protocol?

Methods are documented in the data package, within the terms of the agreement.

Where it fits

Where HNEV sits in a programme.

HNEV often follows STEMZA, taking the secretions of well-characterised cells and turning them into purified, measured vesicles. It can also begin from plant material, when the aim is a plant-derived preparation.

Its output then feeds HNOVA when a cargo is to be encapsulated or a formulation developed, and HT when an assay is needed to measure the effect.
